Meet Perry.
This is a tree that I planted today after church (and my neighbor’s truck). It’s a Bradford Pear tree - hence the name we decided for it - but doesn’t really produce pears. It was $9 at Lowes. We did find out that after 15 or so years they sort of self-destruct with long heavy branches and a weak trunk in ice storms and such up north. So that’s not an issue hopefully down here. They can get up to 25ft tall or more and have blooms that smell funny in the spring. Hard to believe all that from this little guy. And no, that’s not my truck.
